What Missed Connection Covers
Missed Connection coverage applies when you miss your trip departure because your arrival at the trip destination is delayed for at least 3 consecutive hours, due to:
- any delay, cancellation, or mechanical breakdown of regularly scheduled common carrier, as documented by the common carrier
- inclement weather that is documented
- quarantine, hijacking, strike, natural disaster, terrorism or civil disorder, or riot
What you could be reimbursed for:
- Reasonable additional expenses
- Additional transportation cost to join the departed trip
- Unused, forfeited, prepaid non-refundable expenses for the land or water travel arrangements purchased for your trip
