Baggage Delay Benefit: Essentials When You Need Them
If your checked luggage takes an unexpected detour and doesn’t arrive on time, the baggage delay benefit steps in to help. It reimburses you for necessary purchases like clothing, toiletries, and other essentials while you wait for your bags to catch up. This coverage can help you stay comfortable, even when your belongings are running late.
What Baggage Delay Covers
- Your checked baggage must be delayed or misdirected by a common carrier for the specified number of hours in your plan from your time of arrival at a scheduled destination (other than your return destination).
- The plan provides reimbursement for the cost of necessary personal items (such as clothing and toiletry) purchased on your trip due to your baggage being delayed.
Optional Cruise Bundle
Available on each plan (for an additional cost), the cruise bundle includes an upgrade to baggage delay coverage (in addition to other benefits).
- Essential plan: Adds $2,300 to the maximum benefit limit
- Deluxe plan: Adds $2,000 to the maximum benefit limit
- Platinum plan: Adds $1,750 to the maximum benefit limit
Each of these brings the total to $2,500 Baggage Delay coverage.
