Plans That Include Pre-Existing Medical Conditions Coverage
Worldwide Trip Protector
AVAILABLE
Worldwide Trip Protector Edge
AVAILABLE
The Worldwide Trip Protector (WTP) and Worldwide Trip Protector Edge (WTPE) plans normally exclude Trip Cancellations and Trip Interruptions that are caused by a pre-existing medical condition. However, Trip Cancellations/Interruptions due to a pre-existing medical condition are covered on the same basis as any other injury or sickness if you purchase your travel protection plan within the time sensitive period. For the WTP, the plan must be purchased within 21 days of the date your initial payment or deposit for your trip is received. For the WTPE, the plan must be purchased within 14 days of the date your initial payment or deposit for your trip is received. For both WTP and WTPE, you cannot be disabled from travel when you purchase your plan.
Please review the WTP and WTPE sample plan documents for your state for the complete definition of a Pre-Existing Medical Condition.
The exclusion for pre-existing medical conditions does not apply to any other coverages in the WTP and WTPE plans available in most states.
Coverage and benefit eligibility may vary by state. Read your plan document for full details.
