What This Benefit Covers

Missed Connection coverage applies when you miss your trip departure because your arrival at the trip destination is delayed for at least 3 consecutive hours, due to:

any delay, cancellation, or mechanical breakdown of regularly scheduled common carrier, as documented by the common carrier
inclement weather that is documented
quarantine, hijacking, strike, natural disaster, terrorism or civil disorder, or riot

You could be reimbursed for:

Reasonable additional expenses
Additional transportation cost to join the departed trip
Unused, forfeited, prepaid non-refundable expenses for the land or water travel arrangements purchased for your trip
